Backward Classes loans in Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes Development Corporation have established in the year 1986 under the state government of Jammu & Kashmir which is also an owned department which functions under the Ministry of Social Welfare. The corporation of Jammu and Kashmir is maintained by the directors of the corporation of both state and central government. Represented for the socio-economic development of various targeted groups like Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, National Minorities, Safai Karamcharis / Scavengers, Handicapped and Manual Scavengers communities. To provide a better life for the targeted groups in Jammu and Kashmir, by providing various schemes for the socio-economic development.

Scheme with Bank Assistance Or Bank Tie up scheme

Candidates those who belong to backward classes community and that poverty line is below those can apply for the Scheme with Bank Assistance Or Bank Tie up a scheme of Jammu and Kashmir BC Development Corporation. The residents of Jammu and Kashmir and who are sustaining their lives with their own resources of backward classes candidates of Jammu and Kashmir those can avail this Bank Tie up a scheme of Jammu and Kashmir. The department provides various loans for the eligible candidates through banks under “SERVICE AREA APPROACH” for financing. The J&K BC Development Corporation provides various subsidy loans up to 50% which is 10000 for each applicant. All the financing comes under the Special Central Assistance (SCA) for the Poor families of backward classes Sub plan and the remaining balance amount of unit cost is by Bank loan.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR Backward Classes BANK TIE-UP SCHEME:

  • Applicant should be Resident of Jammu and Kashmir State
  • The beneficiary should belong to the backward classes community.
  • Applicant financial status should be less than double the poverty line, i.e; The annual income of the candidate family income for rural areas should be less than Rs: 40,500/- and in urban areas Rs: 51,500 lac. Candidates those who satisfy the annual income eligibility criteria only those can obtain J&K BC Bank tie up the loan.
  • Applicant should not be a holder of any financial institution.
  • Candidate should not have already availed the benefit of any scheme of this corporation.
  • The candidates of backward classes who are interested in avail the bank tie-up scheme should have necessary skill/ experience in the activity.

Scheme for backward classes in collaboration with “National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MSJ&E):

Backward classes of Jammu & Kashmir has collaborated with National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC). To support the people who are sustaining their individual lives under the double of the poverty line, Jammu & Kashmir backward classes Development Corporation has targeted those people and issued several helpful and revolutionary financial assistance welfare schemes.

Eligible Criteria:

  • Applicant should be Resident of Jammu and Kashmir State
  • The beneficiary should belong to backward classes community.

Educational loan Scheme for backward classes students

The Corporation of NBCFDC provides educational loan for the poor families of backward classes those who are from Jammu & Kashmir state. New Delhi is providing educational loans for various students of backward classes community by providing technical education in Jammu and Kashmir also Abroad. 20 Lac loan is sanctioned for the backward classes student in Abroad and 10 Lac loan is sanctioned for the backward classes students those who are interested to pursue in India. The rate of interest from the beneficiary for a male is up to 4% and 3.50% for female. The repayment of the loan is commenced for every 6 months completion of course.

Skill Development / Training Programmes:

The J&K backward classes Development corporation has been providing various schemes and SKill development scheme is one of the programmes under, It provides training to the focused community to encourage and support them by providing the skills to enhance their knowledge for self-employment. Under the Skill Development / Training Programmes, the corporation provides various schemes such as vocational training and skill development programme. Corporation arranges different skills with the collaboration of NBCFDC. The Jammu and Kashmir backward classes development Corporation bears training cost 100 percent.
