Andhra Pradesh State Kapu Welfare and Development Corporation Limited had to announce the Kapu Scholarships for the economically weak Kapu students in the state. So under this scheme, a financial support will be provided to the Kapu students. The main target regarding this scheme is nothing but to encourage the economically weak Kapu students to pursue the education at various levels. This scheme is eligible to the economically weak families of Kapu Community of Andhra Pradesh who are studying at various levels of education. Under this scheme, a financial support shall be granted to the students for their living expenses, purchase of books, educational materials, other incidental expenses.
Eligibility Criteria of Kapu Scholarships:
The students and their parents should belong to Kapu Community i.e the Kapu, Balija, Telaga and Ontario sub-castes.The student should belong to the family whose annual income is less than or equal to 1,00,000 (One Lakh). The student should study in Andhra Pradesh and the students in the Post Matric Courses approved by the concerned University or the Board having the duration of one year and above are eligible. The eligibility courses are been divided into the various groups. The following gives the various courses that each group consists of.

In Group-I the courses grouped are the Professional Courses (Degree and PG Courses in Medicine, Engineering, Technology, Management, Agriculture, Veterinary and Allied Sciences, Business Finance, Business Administration and Computer Applications/ Science, Commercial Pilot License course)
In Group-II the courses grouped are the Other professional and technical graduate and PG including (M.Phil, Ph.D., and post-doctoral research) level courses not covered in Group-I. C.A./I.C.W.A./C.S./ etc., courses, all post-graduate, graduate level diploma courses, all certificate level courses.
In Group-III the courses grouped are the Degree courses that are not covered in the above groups, NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) courses.
In Group- IV the courses grouped are Intermediate, Polytechnic, ITI/ITCs, Vocational courses which come to the Intermediate level of Study.
Eligibility Colleges for Kapu Scholarships:
All Post Matric Colleges in Andhra Pradesh recognized by Government of Andhra Pradesh/Competent Authority is been eligible under this Kapu Scholarships scheme. The students should have an attendance of at least 75% at the end of each month. The student should not have availed himself/herself any amount under any other Government scheme for the same purpose for the same academic year.
Application Procedure for Kapu Scholarships:
As the notification will be released and circulated to all post matric colleges in the state to inform the students from the community about the scheme. The Eligible candidates should fill the application online at the APSKWCL website in the prescribed format. In that, the candidates should provide their email id and mobile number of their parents/guardians during registering for the scheme. The applicant should upload the documents that are needed for this scheme are the Income certificate for the student’s family, Aadhar Cards of the student and both parents, caste certificate, Passbook details of Savings Bank Account in any Nationalized Bank, Passport size photograph, study certificate from the College/Institution. The students shall apply online within one month from the date of admission. So after applying the higher authorities will check the details of the applied students, and will sanction the scholarship to the students.
