On Wednesday, At the Asian Women’s Boxing Championships, Mary Kom has notched up her fifth gold medal winning a fiercely contested summit clash in Vietnam.
(Indian Mary Kom Boxing Player) M.C.Mary Kom, who has turned 35 on November 25, up the gold medal for the asian boxing championships in the light flyweight category, by defeating DPR Korea’s Kim hyang Mi within the final about the unanimous judges decision. Both boxers have begin the first round by looking the attack. Mary kom landed many number of blows but Kim didn’t back down and have got within few punches of her own before the round ended.
The second and third round has continued with less intense, as Mary Kom choosed her time before selecting her moment to strike. Showcasing her defensive capabililty, she has fended off by her challenger and landing a few punches when the opportunity has given.
Due to her game plan, she won the final by a unanimous decision. Inspite of not qualifying for the 2016 Rio Olympics, this tournament decides there is still more which was left in the tank of Magnificent Mary as she had added another feather in her which was already illustrious cap.
Mary Kom was very happy about the way she panned out in the championship and wants to dedicate this victory to all members who have supported me after the world had written me off.

Asian Women’s Boxing Championships is the sixth medal and fifth gold medal, four gold medals and one silver medal in the previous editions of the tournament.
