About National Health Mission:
National Health Mission: The Union Cabinet has declared is its opinion on 1st May 2013, and NHM has approved and introduced of NUHM which is nothing but a National Urban Health Mission. National Urban Health Mission is a sub mission which comes under the National Health Mission along with other sub mission is National Rural Health Mission. National health rural mission is being the another sub mission of NHM. This Mission has under taken by the government of India to provide the Medical needs of under served rural area people’s. Initially, this mission has launched by the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on 12th April 2005. Initially, National Rural Health Mission has targeted the medical needs who are having a weak public health center. Nearly 18 states have been identified by the National Rular health mission Committee.

NRHM Health Initiatives:
Prime Minister vide his decision and approved this Mission to provide the health needs of the needy people. The EAG is also called as Empower Action Group states and also other states such as North Eastern, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh states has been focused more, Under the NRHM. The Impel of this NHM is to create a functional, decentralized delivery healthy process which is to develop the wide range of determinative of health like sanitation, education, water, nutrition and also equality between gender issues. Under NRHM in IEC and Media officials, there are various input’s were provided by Mr. Kamlashankar Vishvakarma. Currently, He is a MoS health and Family welfare Adviser. Following are the 6 financing components of National Health Mission such as:
NHM has six financing components:
1) NRHM-RCH Flexipool,
2) NUHM Flexipool,
3) Flexible pool for Communicable disease,
4) Flexible pool for Non-communicable disease including Injury and Trauma,
5) Infrastructure Maintenance and
6) Family Welfare Central Sector component.
National Urban Health Mission Guidelines
Under the NHM, the 12th plan of the planning committee, the flagship scheme of National Rural Health Mission will be given strength. The main targeting on covering rural areas and also rural people which expand the health coverage to various urban areas. As per the Union Cabinet, he approved the launch of NUHM as a sub mission of National Health Mission and also NRHM which has been another sub mission of an overarching of NHM. Accredited Social Health Activists:
Accredited Social Health Activists are also known as Community Health Volunteers which have been committed under the scheme for creating a link between the health system and the community. ASHA is the 1st port of call for any health related issues of the population, women, and children those who are in need for health services in rural places. ASHA is increasing and covering all over the states which increase the usage of outpatient services, inpatient care, diagnostic facilities etc.
Rogi Kalyan Samiti:
Patient Welfare Committee is also called as Rogi Kalyan Samiti and it is a hospital Management Society which acts as a team of trustees for the medical centers to maintain the hospitals. For patient welfare, United fund will assist the financial support to them.
United Grants to Sub Centres:
United Grants to sub centers has been utilized in health care system, for example, Auxiliary Nurse Midwives and Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committees.
Health Care Contractors:
National Rural Health Mission has provided the health care contractors to rural areas.The importance has given to the nursing staff and also employees of Auxiliary Nurse Midwives.National Health Mission also encourages the co-place of AYUSH services like CHCs, PHCs and other District hospitals.
Janani Suraksha Yojana:
Janani Suraksha Yojana is acronym is JSY, the main motto of JSY is to decrease the maternal mortality of pregnant women’s by supporting them to conceive in govt health facilities. Cash assistance is given for the pregnant women’s those who given birth in a govt health facility, under this scheme. JSY scheme has brought poor households to the public sector health facilities on a scale which were observed before.
National Mobile Medical Units:
A huge number of un served areas have been focused by this National Mobile Medical Units.
National Ambulance Service:
Providing the free ambulance services in each corner of the country by providing a toll-free number. Then, with in 30 minutes of the call, they will reach the destination.
Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram – Women’s health:
Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram is also called as JSSK, it was developed to support and provide the free transport, drugs, blood and also healthy diet to the pregnant women those who visit for delivery in public health locations and also sick infants which are up to one year.
Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram:
RMSK is the acronym of the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram, On 2013 February Child health screening and early intervention have established to shows the diseases especially to children, birth defects, deficiencies by birth. They will cover nearly 27 crore children those who are between 0-18 years and also provides the surgeries and free treatments for health issues.
Mother and Child Health Wings are also called as MCH Wings which targets to decrease the maternal and also child mortality. Provide 100/50/30 bed capacity and also approved in some district hospitals. CHCs also provides more beds for the children’s and also mothers.
Free Drugs and Free Diagnostic Service:
NHM has provided a new scheme which is to provide the free drug service and also free diagnostic service.
District Hospital and Knowledge Center:
DHKC is also called District Hospital and Knowledge Center. To provide the Multi specialty hospital which includes all the services such as dialysis care, intensive cardiac care, cancer treatment, mental illness, emergency medical and trauma care etc. These Multi specialties health care centers are located in the district and also provides training for paramedics and nurses.
National Iron+ Initiative:
This scheme has implemented to focus on the people those who are with iron deficiency anemia, Committee will supply the iron and folic acid supplements to them. This scheme comes under existing schemes such as Pregnant women, lactating women, children’s and also New age teams.
Trible TB Eradication Project
Tribal TB Eradication project has been approved on 20th January 2017 by the MoS health Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste.
