Srisailam Temple: On flat top of Nallamalai Hills, Lord Srisaila Mallikarjuna picturesquely located. The shrine of Srisailam is one of the famous most ancient temples in India. In Andhra Pradesh, Temple is on the right side of the Kurnool district, India. This mountain Nallamalai Hills are also named as Siridhan, Srigiri, Sirigiri, Sriparvatha and Srinagam. From ancient days, Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy temple has been a popular pilgrimage. We can specify the location of the place with reference to srisailam our existence. Srisailam Temple History:

From ancient times, The shrine of the Srisailam plays a very crucial role in Hindu religious, cultural and history of social from those earlier days only. The srisailam history is revealed by the evidence of epigraphical, Srisailam has begins with the first empires of south India who is called as Sathavahanas. On 1st century A.D, the shrine has detected in Pulumavis Nasik which was an inscription. They are many emperors who worshiped lord Mallikarjuna Swamy they are the Ikshavakus, the Pallavas, the Vishnukundis, the Chalukyas, the Kakatiyas, the Reedy Kings, the Vijayanagara Emperors, The Sathavahanas and Chatrapathi Shivaji are among the famous emperors.

Prataparudra is one of the people from Kakatiya Dynasty, he worshiped the Srisailam shrine and also made many changes and develop the shrine. Prataparudra also granted the paraganas for its maintenance. For the lord srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy temple shrine, Ganapathideva has strived and sponsored 12000 Golden Nanyas for the development of the shrine of Srisailam. All the rulers of the dynasty spent their services for the shrine of srisailam, During the Reddi kings, it is the golden age of the Shrine of the kshetra.

Prolaya Vema Reddi is from Reddy Dynasty who constructed the stepped pathway to the devotees to shrine of srisailam on the 14th century and also constructed Pathalanga. Anavema Reddi of Reddy Dynasty has also constructed the Veera Siromandapam, With devotion the place where devotees of the Veersaiva cut off their hands, limbs, tongue to attain the importance of the god. This is known as Veeracharam. Pathalaganga is the river, Krishna. The Mukhamantapam of Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy shrine and also a Gopuram on South Side of the shrine has constructed by the Harihararaya, who is the second Harihararaya of Vijayanagara Empire.

On east side and on both sides of Salumantapas of the temple, Sri Krishna deva Raya has constructed Mukhamantapam and also Gopuram for the Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy temple. This happened in the 15th century. On 1667 A.D. the last Hindu king who is very well known the person for Hindu religion, Chhatrapati Shivaji has constructed Gopuram. He constructed this gopuram on the north side of the Temple.

Srisailam temple accommodation online booking is available at srisailam temple website. Accommodation of the devotees of srisailam has 25 individual cottages, Sivasadanam guest house with 100 rooms, 23 Deluxe suites of pathaleswara Sadan, 10 rooms of TTD Guest house, Dormitory also available of 7 halls and also 22 rooms of Chandeswara Sadanam. 112 suits of complexes have constructed under the name of Gangasadan and Gowrisadan. 40 private choultries consisting of about 1200 rooms are available. nearly 50 suits are established by the Tourism department which is maintaining by the Punnami Guest houses. srisailam online room booking is also available. srisailam ttd accommodation online booking is also available at srisailam temple website.
